Loving the
sound of moving water and the mountains makes this a very
special place. Other things we love about this park: It has a
great location for visiting the Blue Ridge, north or south; it
is small with all the sites flat and away from busy roads, but
offers full hook-ups and a beautiful clean view of the best
nature has to offer. Thanks Ron & Becky. |

We love
staying in this park! It is so well managed, clean, safe and
beautiful. The bathrooms are kept clean at all times and are
heated in the wintertime. We love Buck Creek. The owners go out
of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The
Thanksgiving Day dinner for all the park's guests is wonderful
and the camaraderie very enjoyable. We look forward to our next

We stayed in
Super Site #26 over the 2009 Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed
ourselves so much. It was so relaxing and quiet. The stream was
great and we loved the elevated area that hosted our fire pit
and picnic table. The only suggestion I have is a small laundry
facility on site. Thank you Ron & Becky. We will definitely be

The park is
lovely, even in the rain! The sound of the creek running along
behind the campsite was very relaxing and it was fascinating to
watch it rise above the rocks with all the heavy rain, but never
come out of its banks. Our site was nearly level, roomy, and
very well kept. There was little traffic noise, or other noise
for that matter. We like that you have activities most weekends
and especially enjoyed the gospel music. It's great that you
promote attending church service (which we enjoyed). We couldn't
have asked for a prettier park or nicer hosts for our little get
away. (Rec'd 09/30/2009 - stayed Sep 17th - 25th). |

This was our
family’s first stay at Mountain Stream, and we will most
definitely return. More often than not, we have found that
campgrounds do not live up to the expectations created by the
photos and descriptions on their web pages—Mountain Stream is a
refreshing exception. We found this park to be everything we
hoped it would be from web page and even more beautiful and
peaceful than it appeared from the photos on the web site. The
park is beautifully landscaped, with great attention to
detail--simply immaculate. We enjoyed the peacefulness afforded
by its relatively small size of the park and the relaxing sounds
of Buck Creek. Everyone was very friendly and our children felt
quite at home and safe in the park. Our biggest uncertainty was
how our children would like the park, but they were the first to
insist that we come back (as well as protest our leaving).
There is a lot to do and see within a short drive of the park,
but you definitely need to budget ample on-site time to simply
relax in and enjoy the park. We look forward to returning.

visit this summer. As pleasant and peaceful as can be. The
Friday night pot luck and gospel quartet were great. Able to
catch 4 nice rainbow trout next door at the trout pond. We will
return again for sure later this summer. Thank you for your
hospitality! |

We enjoyed our
stay very much. We began to relax immediately. The site is
spacious, clean, cool and has a beautiful view of the turn of
the creek & the creek itself. The swing and finished picnic
table was great. The bathrooms were well kept. The flowers are
beautiful. We found many "treasures" as we walked the property.
The chimes, bird houses and little prayer garden are precious.
God bless you for providing a place for campers to experience
such beauty & a chance to get back to what's really important in
life - God & His creations. P.S. Ronnie enjoyed the fishing -
caught a 13" trout & one 11". Good eating. |

We stayed in
your park June 19th - 21st. I just wanted to let you know that
was our first time camping in our camper anywhere and we
absolutely loved it! It was very nice to be in a Christian based
environment and the park reflected that as well. It was very
clean, quiet and family oriented. The sound of the stream
flowing 24/7 was so relaxing. I have been telling everyone about
your park. Thanks for the great weekend. |

Great stream
side sites - level parking= outstanding landscaping. Bath house
far below average, very poor floor plan/layout, too small, poor
shower access, Rinnai hot water system performance sporadic.
Need a laundry! Electric bug zappers would be nice. |

This is the
first campground my wife and I have stayed at that the
campground was as good as the pictures. Very sufficient bath
house that was immaculate. The stream was beautiful and I did
catch a couple of trout. The pot luck and quartet were fabulous.

Each of my 3-4
stays at Mtn. Stream have been very relaxing. No cell phones and
the sound of Buck Creek are a peaceful combination. Mtn. Stream
has always been neat and clean and this stay was no exception.
The extra work is very noticeable and the super sites are very
spacious and well manicured. Ron, as I promised, I am enclosing
on of our patches for your wall of Law Enforcement guests.
Thanks, and I look forward to my next stay at Mtn. Stream. |

We wanted
to thank you both again for the wonderful time that our whole
family had while staying at your campground. We were fortunate
to stay at campsite 13 for a week and we have never had such a
beautiful spot. This was our first time but it won't be our
last. We also have told our entire extended family. It was hard
to even want to go and visit the places we had planned while we
were there because it was so restful and quiet sitting along the
creek that sometimes after the rain looked more like a
river. Our camper has a screened room on the end and even when
it rained at night we wanted to sit and listen to the water, but
we were also glad when the rain stopped so that we could enjoy
the swing. We also wanted to thank you for having a perfectly
clean bathhouse. We have never been in one that we felt
comfortable in. The cover dish and singing were also new for us
and we look forward to coming again soon, we hope. We have our
campground map and every spot marked for when we can try to come
back. It was hard to pick one spot over the other because they
are all so so clean and nice. We also noticed the improvements
that you are making to each one. |

Another
fantastic trip from Illinois to Mountain Stream. Can you believe
this is our 4th year of enjoying M.S.? We must like it.....make
that LOVE IT. The "Prettiest campground this side of
Heaven" rightly still applies. We slept more soundly at M.S.
than any other place on our trip. We love the gurgling mountain
stream! The newly
varnished picnic tables are really nice. We loved the Sat. night
wiener roast/pot luck and the lively entertainment. The weather
wasn't real cooperative but it didn't stop us from doing
anything we'd planned on doing. Ron and Becky are what makes
M.S. what it is! Hope we can come back again. |

It
has been several weeks since we visited your camp, so I
apologize for my delay in providing you with our feedback. Next
time I will make a greater effort to fill out the comment form
before we leave for home, as that will certainly be faster and
will help make sure that nothing slips my mind.
First, I should say that Jennifer, Eleanor and I thoroughly
enjoyed our stay. You have a very nice facility, and you
justifiably take great pride in your camp. Your campground is
pretty much exactly what we envisioned when we decided to take
up camping, and has thus become the standard by which we measure
other campgrounds. (I can now see that someone else recently
provided that same comment on the "Happy Camper" page on your
website, but I promise that I thought of it on my own:)
Now, for some specific positive feedback:
The Sunday morning church service in the pavilion was
wonderful. I also appreciated the option of checking out late
on Sunday so that we could have attended services at one of the
local churches.
I loved the finish work that you did to the picnic benches. Very
classy, and yet also quite practical. Easy to clean, no
splinters, and I will have to think that they'll last longer
than unfinished tables? Just brilliant.
WiFi was very helpful, especially since OTA/cable TV was
unavailable. It's nice to be able to check up on the weather.
The big open grassy area was much appreciated. I am really glad
that you have resisted any temptation to convert that space to
more campsites.
I would have to really stretch to find anything negative to say
about your camp. If I were forced to provide "constructive
criticism" the only thing I can think of would be that the
firewood that we purchased from you, we just could not get it to
burn. Even when we added pieces of your wood to a
pre-established fire that had been constructed from other
materials, it just would not get going. I plan to try again next
week with some leftover pieces. I'll let you know if I have
better luck. (Pretty small complaint, yes?)
In closing, we are looking forward to visiting again soon, and
hope to bring some friends with us next time. |

Our visit to Mountain Stream RV
Park was the first camping experience in many years. Ron & Becky
have an exceptional RV park; it's organized, clean bathhouse and
grounds, and very quiet. We will compare other parks to this one

Mountain Stream RV Park is now our
"standard" by which we judge all other campgrounds! It is the
best; well groomed park like setting with beautiful trees,
plantings and flowers. AND, of course, the sound of the
"Mountain Stream". We have stayed one week and never left the
park - enjoyed every minute. Saturday night pot luck and
entertainment at the pavilion was super. Hope to come back in
