This is the quietest, most peaceful campground we have ever visited. Ron and Becky are so accommodating and warm and the natural setting is restful. Everything is maintained to the utmost. Absolutely our favorite little get away in the NC mountains.

Reading the review below by Betty and Lynn Baird, we cannot describe it any better than that. They expressed it perfectly! It's a great place to stay and you won't be disappointed. The only thing we would add is that the rules they have in place make for an enjoyable stay for everyone and keep the park nice.

Our stay at Mountain Stream RV Park the last two weeks in October, 2016, was very enjoyable. As we have stayed in this park several times since 1997, it is one of our prime get-a-way locations. The park is nestled in a lovely mountain vale with a trout stream flowing past the majority of sites, all of which is surrounded by forested mountain sides. Located on a winding, switch backed, and moderately graded paved road, access from I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway is good and interesting. It is our base camp for side trips to Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, Asheville, numerous waterfalls, and many other points of interest in  SW North Carolina. It is a comfortable and quiet place to lounge and relax with a good book; we spent three days in the park doing just that. The grounds are  manicured impeccably and the owners are very friendly and helpful. All of this must rub off on the guests as they are invariably friendly and spend much time visiting each other. Discovering acquaintances from previous trips is always good for the soul. Children romping and playing games on the grassy central commons area and special events such as the annual Chili Cook-off and Halloween Trick or Treating contribute to a happy atmosphere. We rate your park at 5 Stars and you may add our comments to your web site. Thank you for your hospitality.

The campground is lovingly cared for by the Johnston's and is just the right size for a quiet peaceful stay. Bathrooms are warm and very clean and the showers are great. My dogs also want to thank the owners for a pet area that is big and convenient. The stream running by most campsites is an added pleasure. I highly recommend.

We loved your RV park - one of the nicest parks we have seen. We traveled across the U.S. camping, so we have seen many different parks. But Mountain Stream RV Park is definitely the BEST. The beautiful stream around the park is a natural beauty but the attractive & well maintained sites are also beautiful. Bathroom well maintained as well as level graveled sites. The park has activities for campers during the year. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway. We only regret we could only stay 1 night. We definitely plan to return!

Wonderful place for our first RV adventure! The campsite was scenic and serene by the creekside, The bathrooms and showers were very clean and Ron & Becky were very helpful. It is obvious a lot of love and care go into this facility. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time! What a great location, and the landscaping and cleanliness are the best we've experienced. So glad you have reasonable restrictions in place to keep it nice for everyone. (Good drinking water. You just don't find that in a lot of places.)

We absolutely loved our campsite! It felt very close to nature and the sound of the stream was a lovely backdrop. The campsite was very spacious and we enjoyed having a fire every night. The campground had a friendly atmosphere, was clean and had all the amenities you would need. It was very quiet & peaceful at night. There is a lot to do in the area. We went to several hiking trails and enjoyed all the fall color on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ron & Becky are really nice and make you feel at home when you arrive. We will definitely be back soon.

Mountain Stream RV park is a beautiful campground. We came here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Because of my work schedule, wasn't sure we could take a trip so I didn't have a lot of planning time. Just trying to choose was a little overwhelming so I prayed & asked God to help me. I came across this place & loved the pictures on how and how neat it looked so I emailed them. Ron called me back in no time with a cancellation just that morning. I booked but didn't realize there was no phone & limited internet. Almost cancelled but remembered I prayed. This place was just what we needed. Disconnect from "the world" & reconnect to each other.

We chose Mountain Stream as our anniversary weekend destination this year. We scoped it out weeks in advance due to the location (rural, mountains, creek) and all the positive reviews on line. We made reservations on our initial visit. Reservation info was received by mail promptly. Our anniversary weekend has been wonderful. The park is super clean, level, very well maintained. The owners were great to deal with, very upfront, friendly and helpful. Bathhouse very clean. Also park was very quiet! Not many kids here this weekend. Also no age requirements for your RV...We have a vintage '76, and tho; old and different, we felt welcome. Thank you for a great stay.

The words "Prettiest Little Park This Side of Heaven" are wrong. This park IS Heaven and Ron and Becky are the Angels that are here to make your stay the best you ever had. It truly is Heaven and you never want to leave.

October 12 th 16th was once again a wonderful stay at Mt. Stream. We loved site 17 this year. It was nice to sit above the stream and see the water flowing below. The Chili Cook Off was so fun as usual. Our dog Rosco enjoys the dog park and visiting the neighbors with dogs. We have become friends with the campers who attended the Chili Cook Off weekend yearly and look forward to next year's visit to your park. Thanks.

We are first-time campers in our 60's/70's so this trip is both an experiment and an experience! The sites are clean and accommodating. Quiet at night, pleasant all day. Sound of the mountain stream flowing pas the site is soothing, especially in the evening around the campfire. Pet area to unleash dogs for potty (and lots fo sniffing!) was helpful. Ron & Becky, thank you.

We had a wonderful time at Mountain Stream RV Park. It's a hidden gem. The size of the park affords you an opportunity to meet other campers but have great privacy since it only has 39 sites. We had no issues with the hook-up and loved being right on the creek. We now know why many of the campers come back every year. We certainly plan to and plan on bringing our friends too. Thanks Ron & Becky for your hospitality.
