We called the day you were leaving for Christmas vacation and you were nice enough to tell us to come on. The man filling in was so nice & helpful. e only stayed one night but what a great find. We will certainly be back when the weather is warmer. Such a nice place to relax. (Rec’d 01/24/2009).

We camped with you 9/25 – 9/28. Mountian stream was one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever seen. The sites were all level and nicely landscaped. The bathrooms were immaculate! We especially enjoyed the pot luck dinner and gospel singing on Saturday night. The only thing that would have made the trip better would have been more sunshine & less rain. We loved this RV Park and will definitely come back for a visit!

Your campground is well worth the drive. Facilities were impeccably clean and the staff was very friendly. There’s a lot to do around here and the fall colors were amazing. God’s artistry is a sight to behold. We will definitely be coming back next fall.

What a wonderful retreat! We had a great time here. The views and the babbling stream behind our RV we so charming and relaxing. It was a wonderful place for our long week-end. We especially enjoyed the Southern Gospel group, “In His Glory”, on Saturday night. The temperature was cool, but the spirit of the singers and audience were heartwarming. We also enjoyed the church services at Sunnyvale Baptist church (right across the road). We look forward to coming back to Mountain Stream RV Park when we have longer to stay.

This was our first visit to Mountain Stream. We really loved everything about the park. From listening to the stream tumble by, taking pictures of the beautiful fall leaves and sitting in the quiet by the fire gazing at the stars, it was everything we hoped for. We look forward to coming back to this gem tucked away in the mountains!

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Stream very much. It is a beautiful place and very well maintained. We did not use the bath house but did “peep in” and they were exceptionally clean. We especially enjoyed sitting by the brook and watching the trout swim. They were too small to catch but I bet there will be good fishing there before too long. The ride up the mountain is a typical mountain road, and too me they were scary, but when you arrive it is well worth it. The Parkway and other sights are not far away, but we chose to stay at the park most of our time there.

As always, the campground was pristine and lovely. Our site #19 was large, level & lovely. The only suggestions we would make is to add lighting on the road of the non-stream side for those evening strolls around the park or to the bathhouse. And we would love to have a swing (like site #13) on each of the super sites. What’s better than swinging, watching the campfire and listening to beautiful Buck Creek? We hope to be back soon!

We spent two days in the park in Oct. 2008 and could have stayed longer. It is as nice as their website advertises. The showers and restrooms are the cleanest we’ve seen and we camp a lot! On a scale of 1 to 10, we definitely give Mountain Stream RV Park a 10+. The mountain stream is so peaceful and the Saturday nite covered dish and entertainment were great. Ron and Becky are friendly, helpful and polite to their guests. We would most definitely return.

Mountain Stream is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever stayed at. It’s not the typical RV Park where the RVs are crammed in together. Instead the sites are spacious, with many trees, a fire pit far enough away from our trailer we weren’t afraid to light a fire in it & a nice picnic area with a table on the awning side of the site. The park is very clean & well landscaped throughout with little raised beds of hosta & various flowers. Everything was very well thought out right down to the perfect places for hook-ups & sewer lines. We chose a prime stream site, which we felt was very much worth the extra money, especially while sitting under our awning enjoying the view & the sound of the stream rushing by. We had been a bit nervous about the road coming up when we read the warnings about the curves, but it was not nearly as “scary” as we had imagined. Taking a little care to drive slowly its an easy climb & well worth it. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

We enjoyed meeting you and our stay at Mt Stream RV Park. The camper spaces are beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are the best/cleanest we have seen anywhere. We found the sewer connection to be too far away for our 5th wheel (20 ft?). Would be nice if it were closer. Our 5th wheel is 28 ft. Great place to enjoy and relax. We look forward to coming back.

“No “Pig In The Poke” here! Great RV Park and as advertised on their professional website and well illustrated site map. It was easy to connect with the Parkway, a short but winding couple of miles from the RV Park. We hiked at Mt Mitchell and also went furniture shopping in Hickory for full days and returned for enjoyable evenings at the “creek” site # 10. Recommended to all! After 2 nights of dry camping, we were ready for pampering. This was the perfect place. Pristine setting, helpful & friendly management and wonderful showers. This is a beautiful campground. The spots are level and have plenty of gravel. It rained while we were here and there was no mud. Ron and Becky are super friendly. They make you feel very welcome, like you are part of their family. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to my friends. My only regret is that we did not stay here longer.

We had a great time at Mountain Stream. This was our first time at this campground. Mountain Stream is very clean, neat, pretty, peaceful, and with very nice campers. The Saturday nite covered dish was great. I have never experienced that at any other campground. on Saturday nite they also have a live band. I loved this. This is a really great place to get away and unwind and just relax by the stream. I do hope that God allows us to come back here and I will tell all my friends about Mountain Stream. We have stayed at numerous campgrounds over the past year and your facility is definitely is at the top of the list. The campground was immaculate and the bathroom facilities where keep neat and clean. Our daughter Annie and her friend Katie enjoyed checking out the stream and riding their bikes around the park. We enjoyed the pot luck supper on Saturday night and the young gospel singer was great. We plan to visit you again when our travels take us to North Carolina. The entrance to the park is lovely and inviting! The grounds are well maintained and also landscaped in an ascetically pleasing decor! We had a site near the mountain stream and it proved to be an enjoyable (unexpected) treat to the eyes and ears. We did not have a chance to fill out the comment sheet before we left but would like to say a great big thank you to you – Ron & Becky. We took our youngest grandson camping for the first time and it was only our second time to use our new travel trailer. We loved the special attention that Ron gave checking in with each camper to be sure everything was set up and ready to go. We especially liked that this campground was one that was on a smaller scale, immaculate and also that there was a family atmosphere. The pot luck supper was great and the gospel group was “truly a blessing”. We had a chance to invite others to our campfire and share in music and the things of the Lord, as well as lots of marshmallows! We enjoyed coming together on Sunday morning to worship Him and hear the Word, and participate in communion. Our overall experience was excellent and we would like to return again in the near future. The park is in an idealic area being in the Pisgah Forest. The stream running down the side of the sites makes for a truly excellent sleeping conditions. Everyone I met at the park was friendly and helpful at all times.

The park is clean and bright at night. The only thing is that it is too bright at night. We would recommend this park to anyone going down to the mountains in North Carolina. Whoops, as I was saying the lights are bright, they went out which is a very good thing. Last you might want to keep the store open a little later. Great peaceful campsite.

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground is so beautiful, each site is unique. With no cell phone service or TV reception, it really promotes quality family time. Because there is no pool or playground, the campground draws a different crowd and it is so quiet and peaceful. With the ice cream social, covered dish meal and Gospel singing, we felt more like guests than customers. Thanks for lending the movies. . .our children enjoyed them at the end of the days!

Beauty soothes the soul and mine has been touched this weekend – from Becky & Ron’s lillies, dianthus, hydrangeas that abound, to sitting in the crystal clear creek right off our campsite, watching a flock of cedar wax-wings & a variety of butterflies flit about – discovering 2 unknown birds to look up in my Audubon book, to appreciating all the different ores represented in the rocks in the creekbed – hiking to Tom’s Creek Waterfall (12 waterfalls are close by) – from the friendliness of the hosts to the spotless bath houses & the delicious ice cream social. We thank you for our enchanted weekend.

What a wonderful and restful place to stay. We were in a site with the beautiful stream behind us and a deck to enjoy our dinner. What a blessed vacation. We have booked a site again and hope to come to Mountain Stream often. The campground is immaculate. Every site is unique with plenty of space between you and your neighbors. Don’t be concerned about the road up the mountain. Just take your time. Everyone else does. You won’t be disappointed if you like quiet, friendly people and a quality camping environment.

The stay here was excellent, the campground beautiful, and the atmosphere is great. The Saturday night covered dish dinner with everyone invited and the music after dinner is just great. Bathroom facilities very clean. We would recommend the campground to everyone. We will be coming again.

Mountain Stream RV Park is one of the cleanest, most well-kept campgrounds we’ve seen in 13 seasons. The bathrooms are immaculate and the grounds carefully tended. It’s located conveniently close to many attractions but is in a peaceful, quiet location with very little road noise. Ron & Becky are exemplary hosts & went out of their way to make our week-long stay relaxing & enjoyable. Incidentally, we chose Mountain Stream primarily from information we found on-line. We wanted to be near our daughter at Wilderness Retreat Center.

My wife & I drove our pickup with a slide in camper from Oklahoma (western side) to our daughter’s wedding in Kill Devil Hills North Carolina. We had a great weekend. This is a cozy, tranquil place to come and recharge. My wife and I really enjoyed it. The grounds are well kept. The owners Ron & Becky were very helpful and friendly. This is the perfect mountain campground! Clean, attractive, colorful . . . a destination . . . not just a place to spend the night. We will certainly come back here!

P.S. One suggestion: your bath house/restrooms are excellent, however some “hooks” on walls by sink & showers would help to hang a towel or robe on.

This is a very beautiful and peaceful park. These are the first Azalea trees my father and I have seen on our journey from Wisconsin. It is very nice to be able to go to sleep to the sound of Buck Creek in the background. We had an excellent night’s sleep and we thank you for your hospitality. Also thank you for the key ring. I am constantly checking my pockets to make sure I have them. Now I have one less thing to worry about losing on our trip.

WOW, is the best way to describe this campground for me. I have never given a campground a 10 but this place deserves it. We had reservations and when we arrived they had all of the paperwork ready and check in was a breeze. They explained everything very well and before parking you knew what was and what to expect. We did not see a bad site in the campground; some are just longer than others. The owners have worked hard to make this a nice campground and it shows. They live there full time in their motor home, yes motor home. I do not think I have ever seen a campground or bathhouses and clean as this place. It is located on Buck Creek and over half the sites are creek side, which makes sleeping very easy. No noise to speak of at night except the creek and it just soothes you away. Now if you are the part of society today that is looking for lots of amenities, you may not be happy here. You can fish in the creek, or explore it, you can walk around the campground or ride a bike, (it is nice and level) play horseshoes, or basketball. Our favorite activity that they offer is just sitting by the creek and watching it go by. They do not have a playground, game room, or mini golf which was fine. We also liked the fact that you had no cell phone service at all, and no television that you could see very well unless you have satellite. The last thing I will add is that the road getting to Mountain Stream is a little tight and has some curves but nothing bad so do not let that deter you from staying there. We will definitely make Mountain Stream a regular spot for us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

In our experience with RVing, we have not found a place more relaxing, comfortable & family oriented than Mountain Stream. When we think of having a free weekend for a trip, we always think of Mountain Stream first.

Ron & Becky, we loved our stay at Mountain Stream. The drive to the campground was beautiful with the stream and mountain along the roadway. The stream running along the campground made a peaceful, relaxing stay. Surrounded by the mountains and the quietness made us feel we were in our own little world.
