We love Mountain Stream RV Park. We had the pleasure of spending the weekend and had great weather and PERFECT accommodations. The RV was immaculate, the outdoor fireplace was cozy and we enjoyed the Buck Creek "sounds of nature."
On Saturday night the owners, Gena and Kevin Middleton hosted a chili cook off and served 20lbs of pulled pork in the center of the park. The stone fireplace, big screen tv and family atmosphere was terrific.
We LOVE this RV park and would recommend it to anyone!

Although we had our doubts about fitting in and Hwy 80 was a bit of a challenge for us with the length of our RV & tow vehicle, we absolutely loved our site. A beautiful stream was directly behind our site with a deck overlooking it. We hated to go in at night because we loved sitting by the stream listening to the sound of it. We would go back and have already recommended it to some friends! Best site we have stayed at so far!

We enjoyed our stay with Kevin & Gena last week, their hospitality created a great experience. The campground is very clean, nice landscaping ... very well designed. Small campground so everyone is your neighbor which is great because everyone very friendly. Tranquil setting with the mountain stream bubbling through ... great place to relax and/or use as a base camp to visit area attractions. We made day trips to Mt. Michell and Ashville which we enjoyed. Definitely say this is the best campground in the area. We will return and will highly recommend to our friends.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay here! Thank you for the nice review. Please come again sometime!

Out of over 40 campsites in the last 40 days.......

We stayed at Mountain Stream on August25th and 26th and had campsite #26. We are in a 30 ft class C and were pulling our motorcycle trailer.
This was my first camping trip in about 3 weeks after having just returned from a one + month camping tour of the USA with my 21 year old son. Out of all of the campgrounds we stayed in while all over the US I have to say this past weekend was simply the best place in the USA.

The facility is spotless and you could tell that the owners take a lot of pride in keeping it nice. A nice grassy open area in the middle surrounded by great campsites that are not too crowded and all are on the river. Being able to listen to the river running and the cool temps from the altitude and all of the trees made for some great sleeping too.

The camp store was well stocked and the bath house was spotless and had a powerful shower with lots of hot water. I was happy that the shower head was well place for my 6 ft 2 body and it was the first time in many many campsites that I did not have to get on my knees to get my head wet 😉

Sat night the entire campground was treated to a Free BBQ dinner from the owners. I got to spend some time speaking with them and could feel their dedication to each guest to have a great time while there. I can easily understand why this place is so popular and successful.

Thanks so much to Kevin and Gena for building and operating a really nice place! We are already booking our second trip!

Thank you so much for this VERY nice review! We are thrilled that you had such a good time here and look forward to seeing you again!

Stayed Aug. 4- Aug. 10. We enjoyed every moment. Kevin and Gena are very friendly. The fact they provide dinner for the entire campground every Saturday is just an example of their hospitality. It gave us an opportunity to talk to other campers and find out about the area and sights to go see. The campground is very clean. The landscaping is very nice. The sound of the stream is so relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Thank you so much for staying with us and the great comments. Look forward to having you back!

Another relaxing vacation in a beautiful location with some wonderful folks.  We love the location of Mountain Stream because of all the available hiking, site seeing and outdoor activities at close proximity.  We really like the changes made to the park.  Thanks Kevin for looking out for our camper during the water episode.  We look forward to next year's adventure at Mountain Stream!

Thank you Jacqueline & Johnny! We enjoyed having you both here!

from Statesville NC.  Highly recommend staying here.  Great area.  Very nice and clean.  Great for dogs.  BBQ was good.  Enjoyed the river stream, it made me feel at home.  I grew up in the W VA mountains and it reminded me of that.  Will hopefully be back soon.

We were only able to give 5 stars but would give more if available. Kevin and Gena were there for us 100% when we arrived in a panic. We had stayed there a week prior and left our motorcoach nearby for a week while my husband and I went home for work. We are approximately 3 hours away and when we returned to Marion my husband realized he left the keys to the coach at home. We had no where to stay and they accommodated us with their rental RV and made us very comfortable. We had to stay for two nights until a neighbor could retrieve our keys and FedX them to us. We had my 80 year old mom with us on her first camping trip, boy was it an adventure. We learned many lessons this past week, but know that they are hands down the best hosts and best campground that we have ever stayed at. You could not ask for any better campground, clean, neat, beautiful grounds, kind campers and a wonderful relaxing time. Beautiful mountains surround you with Buck Creek out your door for the best night of sleep. Kevin and Gena supply the best BBQ on Saturday nights. Come enjoy, but save us a spot please!

Thank you so much for this nice review. We are so blessed to have such nice campers visit us here. Thank You!!!

Very Quiet Setting

Very quiet setting, friendly campers, very clean.  The bathroom needs upgrading, it took 4 days to get a hot shower in the men's bathroom.

Thank you! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay here and hope to see you again.

We're new to camping and this was only our second camping experience, but I'm pretty sure that we started at the pinnacle! Mountain Stream is a beautifully maintained and landscaped campground situated on Buck Creek. I mean RIGHT on Buck Creek. Our site had a brand new deck that overhung the creek. We slept every night with the windows open so we could hear the stream. It was awesome! Kevin and Gina are super helpful. There are so many things to do in the area. There's even a Camping World close by. But the best part was the people we met in the campgrounds! Such interesting people! Mountain Stream will definitely be one that we'll return to again and again!
