Delightful, well-equipped yurt. I liked it very much.
4.5 stars
We stayed at Mountain Stream November 6-8, 2020. We have been camping for 5 1/2 years and I will definitely say this is one of my new favorite places! The stream behind our site was gorgeous! The sound of rushing water over rocks was so relaxing. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Loved the beauty of the location and will certainly return soon!
My Husband and I stayed at site# 1 in the fall of 2020. Mountain Stream RV Park is the most beautiful and peaceful campground we have ever been to. The Staff are very friendly and want to do everything possible to make your stay the very best it can be. We made reservations to go back while we were there. Looking forward to seeing it in the spring!
We feel quite blessed to have stayed two nights on site 13 on your lovely grounds. This Mountain Stream getaway has been our favorite place so far! Even though it rained practically our whole day; we felt so lavished with the natural beauty and sounds that we will remember and take home with us back to Florida. Thank you and God bless you Jim, Austin, and Tyler.
P.S. We'll be back Lord willing! 🙂
We had a fun and relaxing stay at the Red Top yurt! Everything was clean and customer service was top notch. Any time we had a problem (light bulb went out) they fixed it in record time! I would highly recommend this place to stay! We can't wait to come back. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and it has everything you need to stay.
Ran across this campground searching the internet. Read all the reviews and thought to good to be true but decided to give it a try. Made my reservations a year in advance and the lady I talked to said I pretty much had my choice. I told her that I never been there before and that I had a 41 foot toyhauler and wanted to be able to let my patio on the back out. She suggested site 1. Do not think the owners know owned it when I made my reservations. Got to the campground in pouring down rain and I will say that on large rv's drive slow because it is curvy with lots of blind curves. The site to me was not the best site for a large toyhauler. I had to kind of jack knife it in the site and that left me to have to walk in mud to get around the rv. Asked the owner Jim if he'd mind if I went to Lowe's and got some patio pavers would he mind if I put them down where I had to walk. He walked over to my site, looked at it, took up landscaping timbers and put down gravel. I have never seen this type of hospitality anywhere I've ever camped and I've been camping for 43 years. This made my stay so much more enjoyable. Believe all the good reviews because they are true. This is a quiet and relaxing campground. The entire staff are very nice and helpful. The drive up to the campground was well worth it. Thanks for a truly great camping experience.
Great place to enjoy the outdoors and stay in a great clean Yurt right in the mountains. Will come back again for sure.
Loved the yurt - super clean, as others have noted! Hoping to return!
Wow! What a find. I came here to run, passed by, and never mattered until my wife said we were staying here! This is perhaps the most charming place we've stayed in a long time. The whole aestetics of the campground is beautiful to say the least. From the lights (dim, but perfectly lit and placed), to the playground, to the consistent sounds of the creek. As someone who grew up in and around Taylor's Valley, Mountain Stream RV Park feels just like a home away from home. Keep up the great work! Thank you! Peach be with you all!
Took a chance on the reviews and it paid off- Big Time. Professionally run, wonderful owners - staff, sites are well maintained, clean facilities and we look forward to returning. Our site was not by the stream, so next time we have several sites chosen stream side for our return , mid Oct.
My Hubby and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this Beautiful campground. The sound of the stream was so relaxing. We loved sitting out at night listening to the stream, while enjoying a camp fire. It doesn't get any better than that. We enjoyed meal times overlooking the stream. The landscaping was so beautiful and very well kept up.
We will definitely visit again.
We look forward to coming back!
This campground is beautifully landscaped , clean & professionally operated by kind people who feel like Family !
Our family Loved it...great play area for our grandchildren , beautiful mountain stream & lots of games & videos in the office for campers to borrow . WE definitely want to go back
soon.!
Stunning, peaceful, relaxing, beautiful. There are so many words I could use to describe this campground. The staff are fabulous. Grounds are just lovely. Best we have ever stayed at.
We WILL be back as soon as possible!
This was an absolutely beautiful and magical place. The breathtaking mountains surrounding us, the flowing stream welcoming adults and children into their crispy waters, lovely crew running the place like Sheila so sweet and eager to help, friendly campers really quality people.... So many thought out touches here... flowers everywhere, even a doggy bathing station. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. It really needs to be experienced to understand and feel truly blessed like We feel for having spent some time here in God’s perfect nature.
Every year for the last 6 years my brother and I take a trip for a week in his rv. This by far was the nicest cleanest friendliest park we have been to. Also the bath house had the best shower. Wished I lived closer just want to thank them for a great week I would highly recommend this park
My wife Angie and I , like many others found this RV - campground surfing the web looking for a destination vacation spot , and also like many others questioned the reviews as to good to be true . Well,,!! we can say with out any reservations this is the most outstanding rv-campground . The lay out , the electrical grid , the well water system (well water very cool and pure ), the satellite cable and wi if system ( wi Fi however is limited as they receive it Via satellite) , the landscaping , the web site and the office are expertly designed and professionaly managed . They also have rv supplies, books and movies in their store / office. . The owners Ron and Becky have set the bar very high . As they have built a true Gem . The roadway to the park is windy ,curvy however the roadway is very smooth and well maintained (black top ) . The drive way Entrance has concrete then yields to limestone ( grey ) gravel and is well packed not loose . The sites are somewhat private as they have large and super sites to choose from . The stream is pretty no mater the site you choose . And yes I did pan for Gold in this NONE gold filled stream LOL , The electric power is strong as I used a Kil a Watt meter, it read 122 volts and a full 60 hertz . The showers have good pressure and plenty of hot water and are clean (so go barefoot if you like LOL ) . We read many reviews and can say they have there merit as we all see things differently. Some make mention of stiff rules , well when you cater to so many different personalities from all over the U.S. You must set boundaries and stick to your guns.. .. The rules are very well thought out and more than fair , as with out rules none of us Rv'ers Would enjoy this true Gem . , (( I have been to campgrounds were the rules are not invforced and I was very unhappy and will not visit them again.)) . The Blue Ridge Parkway is three miles from the campground. Burnsville is a thirty minutes drive- home of the Pig and Grits cafe ( open 7-3 mon- sat ) a must if you are hungry , Little Switzerland is fifteen minute drive great food and book store , Linville Winery less than hour drive with a large verity of domestic and imported wines and live music , There is a Camping World with friendly staff and well stocked store in nearby Marion . The Historic Carson House in Marion has a very very good guided tour and is very informative of the local and national history,, a must visit . Junk shops and Antiques are all over the area , the best we found are in Asheville the Tobacco barn and others are on swannanoa river road Asheville . As I conclude this review I must say God has Blessed us all with many great things in this world . Ron And Becky and this Rv - Campgorund are on that list .. So visit and visit often and enjoy this truly one of a kind blessing . Thank you Ron and Becky. Well done
clean comfortable best year round camp
Another year in the books at Mountain Stream in the fall. When we arrived, we saw that most things had not changed there. The things that had changed were improvements. As usual, we enjoyed our stay beyond words. Hope to be there again next year and enjoy this little piece of paradise. Gena, keep smiling.
We love this park, one of our top parks. The creek is so peaceful & quiet. Relaxed for the week. No cell phone & that is refreshing.
The owners are the best. Already made 2020 reservations. Our stay was sept 2019.
Our first ever camping trip in our camper and we loved it. Our son, daughter n law and 6 grandchildren were camping beside us. The campground was beautifil and very clean. The staff was very accomidating and super friendly. I will reccomend this campground and look foward to returning.
